The reinforcement in the FWD configuration has to be cut away to make room for the CV axle. Don’t leave the stock trailing arm weak and flimsy, add even greater strength than than just about any other option available.
These reinforcement plates are designed to fit inside the factory trailing arms. This creates an I-beam structure which is much stronger than other designs which only offer a very simple box welded at the outer edges.
The fitment is tight enough for TIG welding, however, MIG welding is all that would be required. They can be fully welded or stitch welded, both provide excellent rigidity.
