NOTE: .060" (1.52mm) is recommended for all motors including T7 (b205/b235) builds which would normally use a thinner gasket as standard.
  After working with the engineers as at Cometic, it was determined that a gasket with more layers is ideal for the power levels these gaskets are being used in. Case in point is the 4G64 motor using a similar configuration. The standard .030" 3-layer gasket normally used in the T7 motors is not deal for high boost applications.
  This suggestion in gasket thickness also also helps to account for any material that may have been surfaced from the block or cylinder head. Also, the common use for T5 cams in majority of builds means the thinner T7 gasket is responsible for slightly retarded cam timing, the thicker gasket helps to correct that. Not to mention the minor decrease in static compression when used in a T7 build will help to decrease the potential for knock on pump gas.

  In 2015/16, we were the originators of the Cometic MLS head gasket for the Saab “H” motors (B202, B204, B234, B205, B235).
  Since then it’s gone from exclusive parts for us, to being something that is widely available around the world.

  Now we’re back at it with an exclusive design unavailable anywhere else. This new design makes it possible to use a single part number across all Saab cast iron four cylinder motors with any combination of block and cylinder head between T5, T7, or hybrid. This redesign means none of the water gallery ports in the gasket are misaligned or obstructed.

  Two thickness options are available for the most common application, .030” and .060, in a 91mm bore. Bore options are available for specific bore sizes in any diameter between 90mm through 93mm. Please contact us about special requests and we can get it sorted quickly.
