The simplest answer tends to be the right one, and that the case with NG900 and OG9-3 motor mounts.
The root cause for motor and gearbox mount failure in the New Gen 900 and the Original Gen 9-3 is the completely uncontrolled upward movement on the factory mount.
Saab tried fixing this in the OG9-3 Manual cars with a fluid dampened motor mount. Unfortunately that was an underwhelming solution.
These modified mounts encapsulate the rubber in the factory mount, effectively giving the same results of urethane mounts with a lower cost and a higher lifespan.
The mount are available complete, welded and ready to install or as the plates alone for a DIY installation. WELDING IS NOT REQUIRED.
