Whether C20LET, C20XE, X20XE or any of the Z20 variants, this simple girdle design will stiffen your high output Opel and Vauxhall motor.
With two plate thickness options available, you can choose the options that best suits your needs. The thicker option is 3/8” (9.5mm) and the thin option is 1/4” (6.3mm). Extra long main studs are required in C20 applications. The studs are sold separately, use the link below for the needed studs kit.
ATTENTION!
Machining the C20 main caps tops to clear the girdle is required for the perfect fitment.
Line-honing the crank main journals is strongly suggested in most cases.
Using the girdle will lower your sump pan. Clearance issues may need to be considered with your subframe and the mount/gearbox may need to be lifted to suit.
Oil volume will increase slightly as a result of the girdle thickness.
