The standard .030\" 3-layer gasket normally used in the T7 motors is not deal for high boost applications.\u003cbr\u003e  This suggestion in gasket thickness also also helps to account for any material that may have been surfaced from the block or cylinder head. Also, the common use for T5 cams in majority of builds means the thinner T7 gasket is responsible for slightly retarded cam timing, the thicker gasket helps to correct that.
